getting something
done

when I caught your eye
and felt guilty
for something

though I couldn’t
say what

I said too quickly,
“I’m lazy”

to which you responded,
quickly also:

“no, more like
easily distracted”

which had me thinking
as I got up
and walked away

that yes, that’s right

“I’m not lazy,
I’m just easily distracted”

which was something
I could live with.
